Amendments to the First Schedule of the Tariff Act substitute new ad valorem rates for Item No. 28(34) and replace Item No. 63(32) entries with combined per tonne specific charges plus ad valorem components; they also wholly substitute Item No. 8(2) to classify dried fruits into detailed subcategories and prescribe "Preferential Revenue" rates for each variety with corresponding preferential reductions of the revenue amounts less a ten percent ad valorem concession.
