Finality of appellate judgments preserved, with limited exceptions allowing appeals against acquittal or sentence enhancement.

Judgments and orders delivered by an Appellate Court are final except for specified statutory exceptions; notwithstanding final disposal of an appeal against conviction, the Appellate Court may, on the merits, hear and dispose of an appeal against acquittal or an appeal for enhancement of sentence when those appeals arise out of the same case.
