Presumption of documentary authenticity: produced, seized or imported documents are presumed genuine unless rebutted by the accused.

Documents produced by a person, seized from their custody or received from abroad and tendered by the prosecution are, unless contrary proof is given, presumed truthful and to bear authentic signatures and handwriting; executed or attested parts are presumed to have been executed or attested by those they purport to be. Such documents may be admitted in evidence notwithstanding lack of proper stamping if otherwise admissible, with the accused bearing the burden of rebutting these presumptions.
