Industrial Tribunal jurisdiction extended to cover employees' provident fund tribunal matters; presiding officers' service conditions governed by Finance Act provisions.

The amendment directs that the Industrial Tribunal constituted under section 7A shall, from the commencement of the Finance Act provisions, exercise the jurisdiction, powers and authority previously conferred on the tribunal under the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act. It further provides that the qualifications, appointment, terms of office, remuneration, resignation, removal and other service conditions of the Presiding Officer appointed under section 7A will, after commencement, be governed by the Finance Act provisions, while preserving the pre commencement regime for incumbent Presiding Officers.
