Service of process: permitted personal, postal, courier or tribunal directed methods determine when service is deemed effective.

Service of notices, summons and documents under the LLP (Winding up and Dissolution) Rules may be personal, on an advocate or authorised representative, by prepaid registered post for acknowledgment due, or by process server with affixation, subject to Tribunal orders. If registered post yields no acknowledgment, the Tribunal determines sufficiency or further steps. Service on classes (partners, creditors) may be by registered or ordinary post and is deemed effected when delivery would ordinarily occur. Notices to the Central Government must be sent to the Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs or an authorised officer, and foreign service may be by empanelled courier or prepaid airmail registered post.
