Tribunal sanction for employing special staff enables contractual hiring with prescribed preferences and terms for liquidations.

Liquidator may apply to the Tribunal for sanction to employ special or additional staff; the Tribunal may sanction such staff and fix their salaries and allowances. Preference is given to ex-servicemen, then retirees from Central or State Governments, autonomous bodies and public sector undertakings. Appointments are on a contractual basis, terminating on earlier of the LLP's dissolution or the prescribed contractual term, and contracts terminating as aforesaid must be renewed afresh if services are engaged for another LLP.
