of <h1>Customs Update: Specific Pathogen Free Condition Removed for Live Shrimp; Electric Vehicle Kit Duty Clarifications Issued.</h1> The amendments to Notification No. 50/2017-Customs dated 30.06.2017 include the removal of the Specific Pathogen Free condition for Live L. Vannamei Shrimp, now regulated by the Department of Fisheries. Clarifications were made to entries 525, 526A, and 531A, specifying that electric vehicle kits do not require each component to be disassembled to qualify for duty benefits. Even with missing components, kits retaining the essential character of an electric vehicle are eligible for concessional rates. Additionally, 'electric compressor' and 'contactor' have been removed from the concessional duty entry for two-wheeled electric vehicles, as they are not applicable.
