....Income Tax: Effective October 1, 2024, the option to quote Aadhaar Enrolment ID instead of Aadhaar number for obtaining Permanent Account Number (PAN) or filing income tax returns will be discontinued. Individuals allotted PAN based on Enrolment ID must intimate their Aadhaar number by a notified date. This aims to prevent duplication and misuse of PAN due to increased Aadhaar coverage among the population.....
