The company failed to prove the identity, creditworthiness, and genuineness of the transactions. The Tribunal found that the company did not substantiate investments made by some individuals, leading to unexplained cash credits. While one individual provided an explanation for the investment source, lack of documentary evidence necessitated further verification by the Assessing Officer. For other individuals, insufficient income and lack of clear sources for large deposits resulted in the unexplained cash credits being upheld. The Tribunal agreed with the Assessing Officer's decision on these unexplained cash credits.....
