He determined the assessable value of the goods on the basis of the price charged by M/s. Arudra from their dealers. Accordingly, he quantified the duty and directed both the companies to pay the amount 'jointly' and 'severally'. Earlier payment of Rs. 92.00 lakhs by M/s.
