<h1>Foreign Trade Policy: Input-treatment rules for modular electronics enclosures-net-to-net treatment, hardware 500g limit, paints/plastics CIF capped 2%</h1> Under the Foreign Trade Policy regime, modular enclosures for electronics racks/subrack cabinets are subject to specific input-treatment norms: most components (locks, slides, keyboards/trays/screws/nuts/bolts, fans, castors, electric switches, EMI/soft shielding gaskets, aluminium die-cast blocks, hinges/latches) are treated net-to-net; hardware is limited to 500 gms; paints, plastics and powder have CIF-value caps of 2% of FOB value. Importers must ensure imported inputs match those used or required in the exported product, and determine and adhere to permissible proportions of various inputs in manufacturing the resultant export goods.
