Import controls on electronic components require imported inputs to match export product use and limit wastage.
The instrument lists permitted electronic inputs for manufacture of export products, covering semiconductors, components, PCBs, mechanical and electromechanical parts, displays, batteries, sensors, optics, peripherals, software, specialised light sources, and cleaning/assembly chemicals. It provides a Net+2% Wastage allowance and requires determination of input proportions for each resultant product. Applicants must ensure imported goods are those actually used or required in the declared export product, creating an input-validation and usage-verification obligation.
