<h1>Central Government Forms Approval Committee for IT/IT-enabled Services SEZ in Chandigarh under SEZ Act, 2005</h1> The Central Government has established an Approval Committee for the IT/IT-enabled services Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Chandigarh, as per the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. This committee, developed by the Chandigarh Administration, comprises several ex-officio members: the Development Commissioner of the SEZ as Chairperson, a Director or Deputy Secretary from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Joint Director General of Foreign Trade in Chandigarh, and Commissioners from Customs, Central Excise, and Income Tax. Additionally, the Director (Banking) from the Ministry of Finance and two officers nominated by the Chandigarh Administration are included as members.
