<h1>Central Government Notifies HUDCO Tax-Free Bonds Under Section 10(15)(iv) for Tax Exemption; Register Holdings for Benefits.</h1> The Central Government has issued a notification specifying the 8% HUDCO Gujarat Punamirman Special tax-free Bonds of series II-A, II-B, and II-C under section 10(15)(iv) of the Income-tax Act, 1961. These bonds, issued by the Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited, New Delhi, during 2001-2002, offer interest rates of 8%, 8.40%, and 9% per annum for terms of 5, 7, and 10 years, respectively. The total amounts are INR 43.50 crores for series II-A, INR 5.65 crores for series II-B, and INR 148.65 crores for series II-C. Bondholders must register their names and holdings with the corporation to receive tax benefits.
