of <h1>Income-tax Act Section 120: Changes in Designation and Jurisdiction for Delhi and Mumbai Tax Authorities Announced.</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes has amended Notification No. S.O. 734(E) dated 31st July 2001, under the powers conferred by Section 120 of the Income-tax Act, 1961. The amendments involve changes in Schedule-I concerning the designation, headquarters, and jurisdiction of certain income-tax authorities. Specifically, the Director General of Income-tax (Investigation) for Delhi and Mumbai have been re-designated with specified roles for Directors and Commissioners of Income-tax in these regions. This amendment is effective from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
