This amendment, effective January 25, 2008, revises the abatement rates as a percentage of the retail sale price for specific goods under the Central Excise Act, 1944. New entries include printers, ink cartridges, certain electronic goods, modems, set-top boxes, and monitors, with abatement rates ranging from 22.5% to 25%. This change is made in the public interest to adjust excise duties on these products.
