of <h1>India Amends Service Tax Notification 41/2007: Adds Cleaning, Storage Services to Exporters' Exemption List Effective Nov 29, 2007.</h1> The Government of India has amended Notification No. 41/2007-Service Tax, initially issued on October 6, 2007, which exempts certain taxable services for exporters. The amendment, effective from November 29, 2007, adds two services to the exemption list. These include specialized cleaning services for export containers, provided the exporter has a written agreement with the buyer and the service provider is accredited. Additionally, services for storage and warehousing of exported goods are exempt if the facilities are approved by the competent authority and exclusively used for export goods.
