of <h1>India Exempts Tech Manufacturing Goods from Additional Customs Duty: Notification No. 90/2007-CUSTOMS, Valid Until March 2010.</h1> The Government of India issued Notification No. 90/2007-CUSTOMS on July 26, 2007, exempting certain goods from additional customs duty under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. These goods include items from Chapters 82, 84, 85, and 90, pollution control equipment, components, moulds, dies, refractories, tubes, pipes, and storage tanks, intended for manufacturing semiconductors, displays, solar cells, and advanced technology products. The exemption required necessary manufacturing approvals and certification from the Department of Information Technology. This exemption was valid until March 31, 2010, and was rescinded by Notification No. 05/2022-Customs effective February 2, 2022.
