of <h1>Indian Government Updates ITC(HS) Classifications for Export and Import Items Effective April 1, 2002</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has issued Notification No. 2/2002-2007, amending and notifying the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items for the period 2002-2007. This amendment, made under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, and the Export and Import Policy, 2002-2007, will take effect from April 1, 2002. The notification, issued in the public interest, is signed by the Director General of Foreign Trade and the Deputy Director General of Foreign Trade, and is to be published in the Gazette of India.
