<h1>India Rescinds 2004 Customs Duty Concessions for Manufacturing with 2022 Notification.</h1> Notification No. 27/2004-Customs, dated January 23, 2004, issued under the Customs Act, 1962, provided a concessional duty rate for certain goods imported into India for manufacturing specified excisable goods. The notification outlined specific tariff items and descriptions of goods eligible for reduced duty rates, such as Bis-phenol A, Epichlorohydrin, Phenol, and Acetone, subject to adherence to the Customs (Import of Goods at Concessional Rate of Duty for Manufacture of Excisable Goods) Rules, 1996. This notification was rescinded by Notification No. 05/2022-Customs, effective February 2, 2022.
