<h1>India Updates Central Excise Appeal Rules: New Forms Required for Tribunal Submissions Effective June 1, 2013</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 6/2013, amending the Central Excise (Appeal) Rules, 2001. Effective from June 1, 2013, the amendment revises Rule 7 regarding the form of appeal or application to the Appellate Tribunal. Appeals under section 35B(2) or applications under section 35E(4) must now be submitted using Form No. E.A.-5, accompanied by quadruplicate copies of relevant decisions or orders. Additionally, updated versions of Forms E.A.-3, E.A.-4, and E.A.-5 have been introduced for filing appeals and cross-objections in the Customs, Central Excise, and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal.
