of <h1>Central Government Updates Special Additional Duty Rates; Exempts Crude Sulphur, Rock Phosphate Under Customs Tariff Act, 1975</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 23/2002-Customs to update the effective rates of Special Additional Duty for certain specified goods. This amendment, effective from March 1, 2003, introduces new entries to the existing table in the notification. The newly added items, including crude or unrefined sulphur, rock phosphate, and various goods specified in prior notifications, are now exempt from the Special Additional Duty. These changes are made under the authority of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, considering the public interest and applicable local taxes.
