of <h1>Government of India Updates Exchange Rates for Foreign Currencies in Customs Notification No. 24/2003, Effective April 1st, 2003.</h1> Notification No. 24/2003 - Customs (N.T.), dated 26th March 2003, issued by the Government of India, determines the exchange rates for converting specified foreign currencies into Indian rupees for imported goods, effective from 1st April 2003. This notification supersedes the previous notification No. 16/2003-NT-Customs. The exchange rates are listed in two schedules: Schedule I specifies rates for one unit of various currencies, including the US Dollar at 47.85 INR and the Euro at 51.20 INR, while Schedule II specifies the rate for 100 units of the Japanese Yen at 39.90 INR.
