of <h1>India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on PTA Imports from Korea, Thailand, and Indonesia under Notification No. 85/97-Cus</h1> The Central Government has imposed an anti-dumping duty on Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) imported from the Republic of Korea, Thailand, and Indonesia under Notification No. 85/97-Cus, dated November 21, 1997. This duty, effective until May 20, 1998, is levied under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, based on preliminary findings published on September 4, 1997. The specified rates are 1,355 Rupees per metric ton for most Korean exporters, 1,769 Rupees for Thai exporters, and 3,375 Rupees for Indonesian exporters, with some exceptions noted for specific companies.
