of <h1>Interest Rate for Delayed Duty Payment Set at 24% Annually Under Section 28AA of Customs Act, 1962</h1> This notification, issued by the Central Board of Excise and Customs on March 1, 2000, sets the interest rate for delayed payment of duty at 24% per annum under section 28AA of the Customs Act, 1962. It supersedes the previous notification No. 33/95-Customs (N.T.) dated May 26, 1995. This notification was later superseded by Notification No. 32/2000-Customs (N.T.) on May 12, 2000.
