of <h1>Government Amends Excise Duty Notifications; Shifts from Fixed Rate to Ad Valorem for Public Welfare</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, and the Additional Duties of Excise Act, 1957, has amended several previous notifications in the interest of public welfare.
