This duty, effective until August 6, 2002, is calculated as the difference between US $40.02 and the landed value per kilogram. The 'landed value' includes the assessable value under the Customs Act, 1962, excluding certain duties. The applicable exchange rate for calculating the duty will be determined by the Ministry of Finance's notifications, based on the date of the bill of entry presentation.
