of <h1>India Updates Duty-Free Tariff Preferences: Burkina Faso and The Gambia Added to Eligible Countries List.</h1> The Government of India has issued amendments to Notification No. 96/2008-Customs, dated August 13, 2008, concerning duty-free tariff preferences for Least Developed Countries. Under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, these amendments include changes to the schedule of the notification. Specifically, Burkina Faso is now listed under S. No. 13, and the Republic of The Gambia is added as S. No. 15. These changes are intended to promote public interest by adjusting the list of countries eligible for duty-free tariff preferences. The notification was last amended on January 19, 2009.
