National Calamity Contingent Duty rates for chewing and jarda scented tobacco set at 25%, effective May 1, 2026.
Prescribes effective National Calamity Contingent Duty (NCCD) rates for specified tobacco items by exempting any NCCD in excess of the prescribed rate. Chewing tobacco, jarda scented tobacco, and other goods falling under the specified Fourth Schedule tariff items are limited to an effective NCCD rate of 25%; any higher charge from the Seventh Schedule is exempted. The measure takes effect from 1 May 2026, thereby capping levy incidence on the listed tariff lines at the stated rate from that date.
