This project, which includes detection, prevention research, education, diagnosis, treatment for heart patients, and maintaining an Atithi Griha, was initially recognized in 1996 and has received multiple extensions. The latest extension is for three years, covering the financial years 2008-2009 to 2010-2011, with an approved cost of Rs. 315.85 lakh. The National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare recommended this extension, confirming the project's proper execution.
