of <h1>State notifies 6% SGST on specified construction materials under State GST Act sections 9(1) and 15(5)</h1> By notification dated 26 September 2025, the State government, exercising powers under section 9(1) and section 15(5) of the Jharkhand Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, notifies a 6% state GST on specified construction materials-fly ash bricks/aggregates/blocks; bricks of fossil meals or similar siliceous earths; building bricks; and earthen or roofing tiles-identified by tariff headings in the appended schedule. The notification adopts the Customs Tariff Schedule interpretation rules and relevant GST Act definitions and is effective from 22 September 2025 for intra-State supplies of the listed goods.
