India to Halt Input Tax Credit Pricing Impact Requests by CCI from April 2025, per Notification No. 19/2024.

The Central Government, following the Goods and Services Tax Council's recommendations, will cease accepting requests from the Competition Commission of India or the Appellate Tribunal concerning Input Tax Credit and Pricing Impact starting April 1, 2025. This decision is formalized under Notification No. 19/2024, issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs. The notification specifies that from the appointed date, the relevant authority will no longer examine if input tax credits or tax rate reductions have led to a corresponding decrease in the prices of goods or services supplied by registered persons.
