<h1>Finance Ministry Waives Interest on Late GST Returns for Four Registrants Due to Technical Issues Under Notification No. 07/2024.</h1> The Ministry of Finance, through the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, issued Notification No. 07/2024 on April 8, 2024, waiving the interest on late filing of GST returns for four specified registered persons. This waiver applies to those who failed to submit their GSTR-3B returns by the due date due to technical issues, despite having sufficient funds in their electronic cash or credit ledgers, or having deposited the required amount. The interest rate is set to 'Nil' for the specified periods: June 2018, October 2018, July-August 2017, and July 2017 to February 2018.
