of <h1>Income-tax Rules Amended: Updates to Rule 12, New Forms for ITR-1 to ITR-6 Effective April 1, 2022.</h1> The Income-tax (Fourth Amendment) Rules, 2022, issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes, amend the Income-tax Rules, 1962. Effective from April 1, 2022, the amendments update certain figures in Rule 12, changing '2021' to '2022' in sub-rule (1) and '2020' to '2021' in sub-rule (5). Additionally, new forms for SAHAJ ITR-1, ITR-2, ITR-3, SUGAM ITR-4, ITR-5, ITR-6, ITR-V, and ITR-Ack are introduced, replacing the existing ones in Appendix-II. These changes are part of ongoing updates to the tax filing process.
