of <h1>New GST Notification Exempts Specific Groups from Aadhaar Authentication for Registration u/s 25 of CGST Act 2017.</h1> Notification No. 03/2021-Central Tax issued by the Ministry of Finance on February 23, 2021, exempts certain classes of persons from Aadhaar authentication for GST registration under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. These exempted categories include non-citizens of India, departments or establishments of the Central or State Government, local authorities, statutory bodies, public sector undertakings, and individuals applying for registration under specific provisions of section 25 of the Act. This notification supersedes the previous notification No. 17/2020-Central Tax, with certain exceptions for actions taken prior to this supersession.
