of <h1>India Extends GST Compliance Deadlines to August 2020 Under Notification No. 55/2020-Central Tax.</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No. 55/2020-Central Tax to amend Notification No. 35/2020-Central Tax, extending the compliance due date for certain obligations under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The amendment changes the original deadline from 29th June 2020 and 30th June 2020 to 30th August 2020 and 31st August 2020, respectively. This extension applies to compliance requirements falling between 20th March 2020 and 30th August 2020. The amendment is based on recommendations from the Council and is published by the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue.
