<h1>India Revises Customs Tariff Values for Edible Oils, Brass Scrap, Gold, Silver, and More Under Notification No. 36/2020.</h1> The Government of India, through the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, has issued Notification No. 36/2020-CUSTOMS (N.T.) dated March 31, 2020, amending the tariff values for various commodities under the Customs Act, 1962. The revised tariff values are specified for edible oils, brass scrap, poppy seeds, areca nuts, gold, and silver. For instance, crude palm oil is set at $588 per metric tonne, brass scrap at $3084 per metric tonne, and gold at $521 per 10 grams. These changes are effective immediately, replacing previous tables in the notification from August 3, 2001.
