of <h1>GST Amendment: Aircraft Maintenance Services Now Taxed at 2.5% Under Notification 11/2017, Serial No. 25.</h1> The Central Government, under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, has amended Notification No. 11/2017-Central Tax (Rate) dated June 28, 2017. Effective April 1, 2020, the amendment introduces a new entry in the table against serial number 25, adding maintenance, repair, or overhaul services for aircraft, engines, and components at a rate of 2.5%. Additionally, item (ii) in column (3) now includes the new entry (ia). This amendment follows recommendations by the GST Council and aims to serve the public interest.
