of <h1>India Revises GST Rates for Lottery Supplies, Amends Notification No. 1/2017-Central Tax (Rate) Effective March 2020.</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No. 1/2020-Central Tax (Rate), amending the earlier notification No. 1/2017-Central Tax (Rate) dated 28th June 2017. This amendment, effective from 1st March 2020, involves changes in the GST rate applicable to the supply of lottery. Specifically, the entries in Schedule II at 6% are omitted, and in Schedule IV at 14%, new entries for lotteries under any chapter are introduced. This notification was made under the authority of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, following the Council's recommendations.
