of <h1>India Amends Significant Beneficial Owners Rules 2019, Updates Form BEN-2 Under Companies Act Sections 469 & 90.</h1> The Ministry of Corporate Affairs of the Government of India issued a notification amending the Companies (Significant Beneficial Owners) Rules, 2018. This amendment, known as the Companies (Significant Beneficial Owners) Second Amendment Rules, 2019, was enacted under the authority of sections 469 and 90 of the Companies Act, 2013. The amendment involves the substitution of Form No. BEN-2 in the principal rules and comes into effect upon its publication in the Official Gazette. The original rules were published on June 13, 2018, and previously amended on February 8, 2019.
