of <h1>India's CGST Amendment Act 2018 Effective Feb 1, 2019; Key Sections Excluded from Implementation.</h1> The Central Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance and the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, issued Notification No. 02/2019-Central Tax on January 29, 2019. This notification announces that the Central Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Act, 2018, will come into effect on February 1, 2019. However, certain provisions, specifically clause (b) of section 8, section 17, section 18, clause (a) of section 20, sub-clause (i) of clause (b), and sub-clause (i) of clause (c) of section 28, are excluded from this enactment date.
