of <h1>India Revises Customs Tariff Exemptions; 10% Duty Imposed on Specified Goods, Excluding Certain Electronics and Equipment.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 75/2018 - Customs, amending Notification No. 57/2017 dated 30th June 2017. Effective from 12th October 2018, the amendment revises tariff exemptions under the Customs Act, 1962. Specifically, changes have been made to the entries for serial numbers 20 and 21 in the notification table. The revised entries impose a 10% duty on specified goods, excluding certain electronic devices and equipment like smart watches, optical transport equipment, VoIP equipment, and LTE products.
