of <h1>India Reduces Late Fee for Delayed FORM GSTR-5A Filing; New Rates Effective January 23 to March 7, 2018.</h1> The Central Government of India, under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, has reduced the late fee for delayed filing of FORM GSTR-5A. For registered persons failing to submit the return by the due date, the late fee is reduced to twenty-five rupees per day. If the integrated tax payable is nil, the late fee is further reduced to ten rupees per day. This notification, issued by the Ministry of Finance, was effective from January 23, 2018, and was later rescinded by a subsequent notification on March 7, 2018.
