of <h1>India Amends Notification to Extend Exemptions for Monument Admissions and Update Fair Price Shop Services.</h1> The Government of India issued Notification No. 49/2017 to amend Notification No. 9/2017-IT(R), effective from November 15, 2017. The amendment extends the exemption to services related to admission to protected monuments under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958, or relevant State Acts. It also consolidates entries by modifying serial number 12A to include services by Fair Price Shops to government entities under the Public Distribution System and omits serial number 12B. This change is made in the public interest based on recommendations from the Council.
