of <h1>India Amends GST Notification 5/2017; Limits Input Tax Credit on Specific Fabrics Effective November 15, 2017.</h1> The Government of India, following recommendations from the GST Council, has amended Notification No. 5/2017-Integrated Tax (Rate) dated 28th June 2017. This amendment, effective from 15th November 2017, introduces restrictions on Input Tax Credit (ITC) for certain fabrics. Specifically, the changes apply to knotted netting of twine, cordage or rope, made-up fishing nets, corduroy fabrics, and narrow woven fabrics, excluding goods of heading 5807. These amendments are issued under the authority of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, and the Integrated Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.
