of <h1>India Raises Composition Levy Turnover Limit to Rs. 1 Crore Under Union Territory GST Act 2017.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has amended Notification No. 2/2017 regarding the Union Territory Tax under the Union Territory Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. This amendment increases the turnover limit for the Composition Levy from seventy-five lakh rupees to one crore rupees. This change is made under the powers granted by the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, and is based on recommendations from the Council. The amendment is officially documented in Notification No. 16/2017, dated 13th October 2017, and is published in the Gazette of India.
