For certain vehicles, including ambulances and three-wheeled vehicles, the cess rate is set at 15%. For motor vehicles with engine capacities not exceeding 1500 cc, the cess is 17%, while those exceeding 1500 cc, excluding SUVs, face a 20% rate. SUVs and similar vehicles with higher specifications are subject to a 22% cess rate.
