<h1>India Amends Courier Regulations: GSTIN Defined, New Forms Introduced u/s 157 of Customs Act, 1962.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 66/2017-Customs (N.T.) to amend the Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Regulations, 1998. Effective from the date of publication in the Official Gazette, the amendment introduces the definition of 'Goods and Services Tax Identification Number' (GSTIN) under the regulations. Additionally, it replaces certain forms related to courier bills of entry and shipping bills with new forms. This amendment is made under the authority of section 157 of the Customs Act, 1962.
