of <h1>Key Sections of CGST Act, 2017 Enacted: Definitions, Administration, Registration, and More Effective June 22, 2017.</h1> Certain sections of the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Act, 2017, were enacted effective June 22, 2017. These include provisions related to definitions, administration, composition, registration, migration, the common portal, and the power to make rules. The notification, issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Central Board of Excise and Customs, specifies the sections that came into force, namely sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 22-30, 139, 146, and 164. This decision was made under the authority granted by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the CGST Act, 2017.
