of <h1>India Amends Duty on Routers: Now 80% of MRP Under Tariff Item 8517 69 30 as per Notification No. 25/2016.</h1> Routers classified under tariff item 8517 69 30 will now be subject to a duty based on 80% of the Maximum Retail Price (MRP). This change is part of an amendment to the earlier notification No. 49/2008-Central Excise (N.T.) dated December 24, 2008. The amendment was issued by the Government of India's Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, under Notification No. 25/2016-Central Excise (N.T.) on May 5, 2016. This adjustment is intended to refine the duty calculation method for routers as specified in the central excise regulations.
